The area previously had a small window and sliding door along the 5m wall where the bifolds are now situated.  By opening up this space with bifold doors it has substantially extended the family/living area and opened the house to the outdoors.

The gable roof of the deck joins into the cathederal ceiling of the home and the bifold doors leading from the family room to the deck have resulted in an large open  entertaining area.
